PASIC 50
The Percussive Arts Society's 50th International Convention was amazing! Seeing all these many university ensembles and professional percussionists performing and giving seminars was life-changing. To add on top of that, the performance of John Luther Adams's "Inuksuit" was also a success. We, the UAF percussion ensemble, also brought the "Inu Yupiaq" dance group to show the culture that inspired JLA's work. It was overall a fun and very educational experience.

Eau Claire Jazz Festival 2024
We-the PHS Jazz ensemble-has traveled to Wisconsin during the spring to attend the jazz festival in Eau Claire. We recieved constructive feedback from professionals and attended many clinics held by professors, college students, and renowned musicians; including Lewis Nash and Sean Jones. We overall had a fun experience whilst embracing ourselves in the wide ranges of the culture of Jazz music!

Region V Southeast Alaska Music Fest
Southeast Alaska Music fest is hosted in the spring by Juneau Douglass-High School, Ketchikan High School, or at Sitka High School. The location is dermined by yearly rotation. Music Fest allows all of Southeast to gather togetheer, to show each other the skills we have developed, to perform and to learn all together. Southeast Alaska Music Fest is a fun event which strengthens the music community of Alaska and the overall art!

Pep Band season! This is another event that switches between being hosted in Juneau, Sitka, or Ketchikan. Not much was recorded from all four years of these trips, but I will say it was pure fun! These were the only clips I’ve been able to scavenge.
